Hugh Jackman said he was truly done playing the character Wolverine after Logan (2017)
Synopsis
Deadpool is offered a spot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by the Time Variance Authority, but instead recruits a variant of Wolverine to save his universe from extinction. The Deadpool and Wolverine team up share how they navigated the risqué jokes, and Emma Corrin shares what it was like working with good-natured megastars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. He then went on to say that he regretted that statement after watching the first Deadpool movie and expressed to Ryan his interest in the two characters reuniting on the big screen. When asked why he chose to return for this film, he simply said, “I just wanted to do it, and I felt it in my gut,” adding that he wanted to have the best time possible on a film set with Ryan Reynolds. Similarly, Reynolds has wanted to work alongside Jackman since the first Deadpool movie and was sad when he (Jackman) retired from the role. While Wolverine and Deadpool are on their odyssey in the Honda Odyssey, the car’s clock advances three hours during their conversation.
Deadpool: You bet
Elliot Chipman: That’s Deadpool. Kevin Chipman: That’s Wolverine. Fox killed him. Disney brought him back. They’re gonna make him do it until he’s 90. “Nicepool” is credited to Ryan Reynolds’ fictional twin brother, Gordon Reynolds.
What a fun movie
Edited from Thor: Svijet tame (2013). Only You (and You Alone) (re-recorded) Written by Buck Ram and Buck Ram (as Ande Rand) Performed by The Platters Courtesy of Cleopatra Records By arrangement with The Orchard. Hugh Jackman is the perfect Wolverine. I like the dialogue and the clever jokes with the swear words thrown in. It definitely doesn’t take itself too seriously. There are tons of fun cameos that I didn’t see coming!
They’re promoting this movie hard
I usually watch spoiler videos ahead of time, but I didn’t this time and I’m glad I didn’t because there were some “oh snap” moments! It’s a really good movie and it’s full of action. The Fox-busting jokes and talking to the camera are really funny. I can definitely see more sequels for these two on the horizon. I just watched these two on Hot Ones eating chicken wings. They make a dynamic duo.
