Director Damien Leone said that several major studios had expressed interest in financing this film based on the unexpected success of Terrifier 2 (2022), even without a full script, but he turned them all down because he was sure they would never let him do it. shot the opening scene himself, which he describes as "very controversial". Leone commented that the only reason he can be so uncompromising in his portrayal of horror and gore is because he finances his films independently, creates all the special effects himself to keep costs down and doesn’t have a major studio breathing down his neck to make the film more mainstream.. Mia mentions that it will soon be the 5th anniversary of the original massacre, but it happened on Halloween, and this movie taking place on Christmas 5 years later means that the anniversary only passed 2 months ago.. Everyone rates this movie a 1: No story; it’s just an excuse for bloodshed. Me: Have you heard of Friday the 13th? Each installment is kids going to camp (or NYC, or space LOL) and getting killed in increasingly creative ways. You’d think that anyone watching the third installment of the Terrifier franchise would know what to expect from this movie. That being said, there’s no real plot other than Art on a holiday killing spree; this time he is accompanied by Victoria instead of The Little Pale Girl from the other film. While the entire film may be the most aesthetically pleasing (the Christmas aspect looks great and the gore/effects are more realistic), I prefer the raw and gritty feel of the original. There are some highly imaginative kills–to the point where you wonder who even thinks of these things–which adds shock and dark humor that fans will appreciate. There isn’t as much of a fantastical and supernatural aspect to it as in Terrifier 2, which I wasn’t interested in anyway, so this film is a nice return to form for Art and his victims. A good opening sequence with lots of suspense, a good amount of screen time for Art’s antics, a good climax, and a conclusion that sets the table for Terrifier 4 (which has already been confirmed). Look!. Art the Clown, Pennywise and killer clowns are just some of the comical creatures that give us goosebumps. Check out the scariest clowns to grace the screen.
